In a high paced, permanently connected, urbanized world, our minds & bodies are absorbing more than we can sometimes handle leaving us stressed, overwhelmed or burnt out.

While traditional retreats of yoga, detox, meditation are all great, they promote the benefits of disconnecting with our technology-driven lives, which allows you to UNPLUG. However we want you to do more than that & DISCONNECT, then RECONNECT through a myriad of teachings for the mind, inner discovery, & future self.

  • BREATHWORK

    We breathe every day to keep us alive, but do you really know how to breath, or how the breath can have physical positive impacts on your day to day? Simply put your breath brings oxygen into your body so that you can thrive. When you become physically or emotionally stressed, it affects how you breathe, so you quickly as a response adapt the way you know how & this then changes you physically & mentally. Breathwork helps to calm your stress & bring balance to your body. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by stress and feel out of control. When you focus on breathing, you allow your body the chance to reset & recover from the negative side effects of stress. The power of the breath is strong! Physical health benefits of breathwork may include: Balanced blood pressure, improved sleep, reduction of PTSD & feelings of trauma, stronger respiratory function, improved immune system and release of stress hormones from your body. Emotional benefits may include: fewer feelings of depression & anxiety, better mental focus, decrease in addictive behaviors, allowing emotional scars to heal, better outlook on life, contentment and joy. There are several breathwork techniques available to us. Let’s explore what’s going on internally!

  • ACCOUNTABILITY COACHING

    The power in numbers stands true! We are all social primates—hardwired to perform at our best when we’re supported, & accountable to others. How many goals, or tasks have you started in the… last year let’s say? & out of those how many have you finished? Accountability Coaching will keep you on the path (that you design during the retreat), & we will work individually with you to help develop new skills that are required for problem resolution & resource management.

    An Accountability Coach, assists both immediate & long-term goals. Working with an Accountability Coach over time can help you manage your personal & ‘life’ activities while learning & acquiring the skills needed to allocate your resources properly to hit your personal objectives. You’ll be taught best ways to identify issues & problems as they arise & create long-term strategies & immediate action plans to address those issues without relying on the involvement of external people. Be solution driven & implement a risk assessment strategy. Accountability coaching will help you build trust & confidence in your own abilities & become directly involved in the success of your future.

  • GOAL SETTING

    What seems like a very obvious & easy task when spoken about, is often considerably more difficult. The majority of people on this planet, don’t have a plan. They say they want to reach particular achievements & often lofty goals but don’t plan, outline, or put in place a logical system to achieve them. So they never get there.

    So…WHY Set Goals? Top-level athletes, successful business people & high achievers in all their respective fields all set goals. Setting goals gives you long-term vision & short-term motivation. It focuses your acquisition of knowledge & helps you to organize your time & your resources. We spend ample time on your goals, creating a framework for your year ahead, immediate, & long terms goals. Finding out WHY you want to achieve those goals, defining & determining routines, habits & methods that are the driving force to getting you to the finish line, of each goal. A workbook will be provided on the retreat, however pre-work is required for this component to maximize the output of this section of the program. There will be accountability sessions provided post the retreat up to 6 months.

  • EMOTIONAL MASTERY

    With over 34,000 distinguishable emotions, it’s no wonder we become overwhelmed, sometimes too reactive, & in other situations simply unable to express our emotions.

    Emotions influence how we live & interact with each other. But how do we better control, express & understand WHY we react the way we do towards simple & routine tasks, to those on the other end of the spectrum - more complicated…

    Emotional mastery is something we will explore, & is the gradual process of attaining complete emotional control. Through our teachings Y can help you achieve a better relationship with not only yourself but others around you, & inevitably improve your overall health & wellness. It can also help you regain control of your mental & physical state.

  • LEADERSHIP & RESILIENCE COACHING

    How resilient are you? Truly? When life throws you lemons (& it does, a lot), do you make ‘lemonade’ as they say, or do you stare at the lemon with feeling of anger, resentment, guilt, shame, & you just want to close the curtains & hide under the covers.

    Yes we may have exaggerated a lot here, but we wanted to get the point across loud & clear.

    Resilience is the human capacity to meet adversity, setbacks & trauma, & then recover from them in order to live life fully. Resilient leaders have the ability to sustain their energy level under pressure, to cope with disruptive changes & adapt. They bounce back from setbacks. Learn how to manage stress, your own coping mechanisms & find resilience in life’s unexpected situations.

  • STRESS MANAGEMENT

    We are all too familiar with this sentence when doctors say, ‘you need to reduce your stress’, yes we understand! But HOW? Stress is often described as feeling overloaded, wound-up, tense & worried, or feelings of anxiety, & occurs when we face a situation we feel we can’t cope with, or that we are unsure on how to find a solution.

    When we talk stress it’s important to note, not all stress is bad. Some stress can actually be helpful, motivating us to hit that deadline, or spurring us to perform well, or hit that sales target for example. However, if stress is ongoing or the stress response continues over a long period, & is a result of something negative in your life, the effects of stress can impact negatively on our physical & mental health. We all try and reduce stress through simple methods, but they are mostly ‘band-aid’ solutions. We explore a number of treatments that will effectively reduce stress, & for the long term. These include cognitive behavioural stress management, stress inoculation training, mindfulness-based stress reduction, & a range of relaxation-based approaches.
